Brad Bird and joy
Hands down this shoot for The New York Times was my favorite of of 2011. I wish I could do this everyday. I got to shoot Brad Bird the director of Mission Impossible 4 as well as the Iron Giant, (which I adore) and others. I am nervous photographing directors. I Feel that I really need to be as in control as they are on their sets or they will doubt me. I like this kind of nervous energy makes me feel really alive and present. It also inspired me to get even better with my lighting skills otherwise I miss the most important time with with the subject. That is what makes my photos shine. Thanks Cody Pickens for some help.
