I have been busy. A good thing yet, leaves little time for this activity which I both love and loth, talking about myself. I shot for this the New York Times, wow over 2 months ago. First let me say, I love the New York Times arts section. I really do!! Anyway, I got to shoot Andrew Masullo one of the only painters included in this year’s Whitney biennial. He was so much fun. My light’s broke at the very beginning of the shoot. Which actually, I think, turned out to be a good thing. It left me free to do a bunch of different setups which Mr. Masullo was game for. I learned, or hope I learned, something very important from him. He has been painting a long time he told me. Every day. He never sought fame, or that kind of success. He just loves art and creates what he’s called to everyday. And now in his 50′s he’s recognized in the biennial. There is such a truth and finding that kind of vision, and success within.
